I like using the Cineform codec in Vegas to render intermediate files in my projects. Unfortunately, Vista chokes whenever it tries to show a thumbnail for any Cineform compressed video file in explorer. An annoying popup appears saying "COM Surrogate has stopped working...". I don't want to turn thumbnails off in Vista.

Is there any solution for this problem?
