Vegas Color Correction DVD reviewed

Glenn Chan and DSE's DVD on Color Correction has been reviewed. This is the one DVD I said I was really looking foward to because of Glenn's posts on color on this board.

DigitalVideoEditing.com just gave it a glowing review.

When I ordered the VASST “Absolute Training for Vegas+DVD, Vol. 4” DVD, I figured that I would end up hearing a lot of what I already knew about color correction, and a few new tips and tricks to improve my workflow. I should have known that I would get more from VASST than something so minor. This DVD is almost two hours long and chock full of color correction tool information and various color correction techniques, I felt like I was sitting down to dinner, only to find out that it was Thanksgiving. There was so much information in this DVD that I had to keep my remote handy to be able to back up and listen again so that it could really sink in.

The review does mention Glenn was a bit nervous, which doesn't surprise me. I think Glenn is like 19 years old.

Nice work guys!

That's a pretty good guess of my age... I'm actually 20.

In regards to being on camera... it looks easy until you try it!! Anyways, I hope it doesn't distract you from the information on the DVD, and I hope you find that information useful. Thanks for the kind words.

Glenn, You did a great job. I learned a lot from the DVD and I especially liked the part where you show us how to properly calibrate a studio monitor and what the difference is between a studio monitor and the regular TV. Topics that have been debated here on the forums before. You can read about that stuff all you want but there is something about watching someone do something that makes it so much easier to understand. Great stuff.

This was, without a doubt, a supremely great DVD, worth more than they're charging IMO - course I said that too, so you already know it. Glen being nervous was not a distraction really, and he did VERY well, it's just something that I thought folks should know going in so that it wasn't distracting from the vid.

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this DVD, and I also enjoyed reviewing it. Glenn you did a great job, especially for your first time, and especially for being so young, etc... etc...
