I'm currently editing a lot of Windows media video files. When I play a file on the timeline and then stop or pause I often get the following message:
"An error has occurred". When I click on 'details' I get:
"Sonic Foundry Vegas 4.0
Version 4.0c (Build 184)
Exception 0xC0000008 (invalid handle) IP:0x77F966BC
In Module 'ntdll.dll' at Address 0x77F50000 + 0x466BC
Thread: Audio5Reader ID=0xE50 Stack=0x2D4F000-0x2D50000"
When I click on 'OK' I lose Vegas.
Often rebooting the computer solves the problem but sometimes it doesn't and I wait a few hours or days. So far I've always been able to get it to work eventually. The problem is definitely getting worse.
Is this a known problem with WMV? Is there anything I can do about it?
