Vegas Crashes When Opening Files After Computer Update

Program: Sony Vegas Pro 15
OS: Windows 10

So my computer automatically updated itself, and when it did, Vegas stopped being able to open files.

Vegas itself opens no problems, but if I try to open a .veg file or import any type of file, it crashes immediately. No error message or anything.

I did a System Restore and that fixed the problem. But Windows keeps updating itself even after I told it not to. Not to mention, it runs way slower after I perform the System Restore.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how I could fix it? I'll provide more info if you need it, just let me know.

How did you tell Windows?
I'm able to stop Windows 10 updating 5x 7 days for a total of 35 days.
Look to my screenshot of that setting in Windows Update

It prompted me for an update and I told it not to. Ultimately, I'm sure I can find a way to stop it from updating if I really dig into the settings, but I'd rather that be a last resort. Windows 10 is so finicky with updates and I'd rather not have to work around that.
