Hi, I've had this same problem for a long time now. I have Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 and I've had very few problems with it since I got it two years ago. But now it crashes ALL THE TIME and what's worse is that my problem seems more or less unique to my situation. I've looked around for a similar problem, but none of their solutions have worked.

I've had Vegas crash on me for these two reasons randomly. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to which crash happens, but it always happens when playing back one music file. Here's a screenshot of the problem: http://i59.tinypic.com/2vtytzq.png Whenever the program tries to play any of the blue audio (music) tracks, it plays really glitchy for half a second then it gives me one of the two crash reports I listed above, and sometimes it doesn't give me a description at all. Sometimes Windows just tells me it isn't responding and closes it. It also crahses like this when I try to render the video. Right as it needs to render the blue audio, it crashes. Here is everything I have tried so far:
- Changing the audio file type
- Turning off the multi-core rendering during playback
- Changing the audio device type
- Showing no waveforms
- Importing audio at project tempo
- Lowering the Dynamic RAM
- Lowering the maximum number of rendering threads
- Changing the name of the media file folder
- Changing the name of the VF file
- Changing the location of the music file
- Changing the name of the music file
- Copying the entire project and pasting it into a new project
These are just the ones I can remember trying over the past couple of days, and NONE of them have worked. I really don't know what's going on and I'm hoping someone can tell me what's wrong and how to fix it.
