Vegas crashing all the time

I bought Vegas on 25th June and since then it crashes very often. Sometimes I am afraid of clicking on anything not to make it crash. I hoped this was going occurring with normal regularity you can expect for PC software but it just went to far. It just get non-responsive or even turns off by itself. Of course there is auto backup/recovery mechanism in place but this one always is not super reliable. It happens to stop at let's say 7% mark and won't move any further. I lost tones of time playing with these issues. I restarted the pc, reinstalled Vegas, reinstalled the plugins. Nothing seems to be working.

It's so annoying to open it every 20 minutes again and again.

My specs is: Win 10, 12 GB DDR3, Intel 4670K and Radeon R7 290X

I don't think I wan't to use software like that. Do you think it's possible to return it or whatever?

Regards,

W

Are you looking for help are or you looking to return the software?

If you're looking to return the software, you'll need to contact the vendor you bought it from (or Magix, if you bought it directly from Magix). This is a user to user forum, so we can't help you with returns.

Many vendors will give you a refund on recently purchased software if you're completely unhappy with it. Although you're about three weeks in, so I'd contact your vendor as soon as possible.

Well to be honest I am not sure what to do in this situation. I can easily say software is not working as supposed. If this state is to continue then yes, I don't think there is any other option but refund. If there is some fix in place which is not involving PC upgrade, Windows reinstall etc. than I might try to apply it. Maybe switching to Vegas 365 will fix the problems.. of course if I only can get money back. You're right that 2 weeks have elapsed but to my understanding this is the period when you can resend with no word of explanation while I have couple of words to say about the performance and reliability.

I will try to get back later with more tech details (on my system, build etc) as advised in of the posts. Maybe someone can suggest something.

This is not normal. Start with the troubleshooting guides linked on the first page of the forum. Be methodical. "Playing" and "guessing" are not efficient means of resolving software conflicts.
