Vegas Effects not working after Vegas Pro 19 Update!!

Hi there;

After updating my functional version of Vegas Pro 19 due to a notice that an "important update" is recommended my Vegas Effects editor no longer works. It says that I must activate Vegas Post first, so I reinstalled the entire suite again. Vegas Pro 19 works, but right-clicking on a clip inside the timeline and choosing "Edit in Vegas Effects" gives me a "not responding" error which requires me to use task manager to shut it down. I didn't have this problem before this update; really upset about this. Hopefully a fix is under way. Thanks.

@william-p6936 Hi, i just tried this, i don't really use VE & not much since the recent update, it doesn't always relay my Boris effects back to VP & it's really slows down playback of the timeline in Vegas but that's another story, but it just worked ok,

Does Vegas Effects open as a standalone on it's own, ie- not as right click from the media on the timeline?

Thanks for responding Gid; no... it doesn't open as a standalone either, that was the first method I tried. Also trying to open a saved Vegas Effects project file gives me the error message insisting that I must activate Vegas Post first. Reinstalling everything didn't solve it either; I also tried reinstalling Vegas Effects by itself from Vegas Post and choosing "repair" as the installation option. It simply does not work anymore; I really wish that I hadn't updated the program as per the notification as it was working fine before I did. Looks like I'll need to find another editor now as I can't use this any more. I don't like the node structure of Davinci Resolve but not sure that I have many other choices now; apparently Hitfilm is moving to a subscription model so that's out for me as well. Thanks for responding though; I appreciate it.

Check to see if you are using the latest build of VEGAS Effects... or try a re-install. When activating, be sure to drop a piece of media on the timeline in VEGAS and select "edit in VEGAS Effects" to launch VE. not sure if it's still a bug, but when VE first launched, you had to activate it that way.
