Vegas Error : Could not start scan server VST2-SCANNER-64bit

Hello.

This error appears after upgrading your computer hardware.
The same symptom appears on Windows 11 and Windows 10.

 Vegas Pro 21 is genuine.
An error appears as shown in the attached photo.
(Unable to start scan server VST2-SCANNER-64bit)
Approximately this happens once every 10 times you run Vegas.
How can I solve this problem?

(Even if you handle the virus ‘exception’, the symptoms are the same)

Thanks.

windows 10
Intel I9-14900K
RTX4090
RAM 64GB

This is an incredibly annoying problem with both Vegas Pro 21 and Sound Forge Pro 16 - it is unique to MAGIX/Vegas products in my experience and has existed for years.

If it doesn't happen with VST2 it will happen with VST3 - or sometimes both. The warning window suggests to add some Program Files as exemptions in security software. I have every VST (6 of them + the program itself) exempted but the warning window still happens - more than several times today. Months ago as a trial, I had no anit-virus installed and yet the VST blockages still occurred.

This is a years long problem that MAGIX needs to fix tout-de-suite. It doesn't happen with iZotope products and it doesn't happen with DaVinci Resolve - it is IMO a uniquely MAGIX problem.

Try unplugging your internet.

I gave that a try - the VST scan warning unfortunately still occurs.

The 64 bit VST <.dll> plug-in files are typically in 'Program files> Steinberg or VST as well as Common files (for VST3). 32 bit plug-ins are in the same folder names in 'Program files (x86).

The latest update was released today.
So I patched it.
But it's the same.
Can't you guys fix this?

This error appears after upgrading "your" computer hardware.

If it was happening for everyone, it would have already been reported and fixed by now.

Yours seems to be a less general problem, so you can begin your troubleshooting here with peer forum members, and/or Vegas Support.

Have you tried refreshing your folders internally from Options->Preferences->VST Effects?

Where is the exact location to turn off VST effects?
