Vegas font rendering

I've noticed this a long time ago, but it just now became an issue for me. That is the text rendered in Vegas (from the built in text generator) seems to be very soft. This is visible even on large fonts. Is there any way to adjust the anti-alias level of the text. It almost renders small fonts unreadable on video monitors. Any ideas?

It's not how Vegas renders the fonts I suspect but the limitations of the video system itself. If you look at it on a PC monitor or on a monitor fed with RGB it'll look much better. Also by default the text is rendered using levels outside broadcast legal which doesn't help when it's viewed on a TV.

Yes, I've found it to be a little soft in comparison with some other software.

A way to improve the sharpness, though only slightly, is in the box that shows the resolution of the text media, simply double it.

(eg 1440 x 1152 for Pal)

"Also by default the text is rendered using levels outside broadcast legal which doesn't help when it's viewed on a TV"

So for white text you'd presumably alter the levels to 235 235 235 instead of 255 255 255.
