Will vegas work for mac, and if not, will their be a version for mac in the future.

This would be amazing. But I think the devs have their hands full with just getting the PC version re-worked.

On other side, there are some pro Mac users migrating to Windows system, as Apple's development are 'less-pro-oriented'... and someone even make a webinar for Mac users who wants to move to PC system (no offense to Mac users - but that's what is happening) , just like the latest Mac Book Pro with that 'touch screen bar', not all like it (read on FB DaVinci Resolve User Group). Also, the 'Trash-Can' MacPro that goes viral some years ago, seems no longer in development. (We ever discussed about it on 2013 during SCS time, Wanna reincarnate this old topic again?😁).

on nearly every forum where they're used with nle you'll find stories of the video cards just not upto handling heavy duty editing. more style over substance afaic.
