Well put, tasteful reply - Nice to hear about SF's priorities while developing V4. Thanks for a great product, excellent support and for active participation on this forum.
Satish:
Thanks again for all of your free plug-in development efforts (where do you get your time? - By the time I get home from work, play with our little boy, put him to bed, I may have enough energy to work on a vid project for a few hours. Daily, I discover new tidbits about V4, but I cannot even fathom writing programs on top of that... - kudos)
So if I understand this right, I should be able to frameserve to a program like AlamDV with having to render to quick or nondml(?) avi right? , it would be like AlamDv was just a plugin for vegas right?
Frameserving is a one-way process... you can only frameserve "to" AlamDV, cannot get the output back to Vegas directly like a plugin. For that, you have to render in AlamDV and get the output AVI/MOV into Vegas (or create a frameserver for AlamDV, render through the frameserver to another instance of Vegas. :-) )
SonicDennis, well said. I should particularly thank folks at SoFo for all the help with the technical stuff and being so kind to put up with my queries.
I almost feel guilty for downloading your work Satish, please charge some money for it however small so you can at least have a holiday once a year from the forum.
What would the suggestions be for the best apps to use with frameserving.
encoders is one if I am correct vegas -> SatishVFS -> Encoder -> output file
What would the top 10 of frame serving apps I have my head stug in two way plug in land.
One more use is to do Dynamic preview in media player without having to fully render first. ;) You can run the PluginPac FrameServer and open the output file in media player to see the output file without even creating the output file. :)
