Vegas freezes when loading

After leaving the machine on all night to render, when I close and open Vegas Video 3.0 again, it freezes on the logo screen and doesn't load. I've restarted the computer and it still does it. Only fix I can find is unloading and re-loading software. It's done it 3x to me now. I'm running a 1.8P4 with XP and plenty of RAM and hard drive. Has this happenned to anyone else?

Do you have Win DVD installed? If so, what version?

Yes, I have WinDVD version 3.1 DXVA. Although, I've never used it. It came with my computer.

I've heard of one instance where uninstalling, then reinstalling WinDVD fixed a very similar problem. Worth a try?
