Vegas Hub Music Copyright Claim on YouTube (Monetization)

Hey Support,

I have a question regarding monetisation on copyright claimed videos on YouTube.

I subscribed to the Vegas Pro 365 plan which gives me access to all the music & video clips Vegas Hub.

I was under the impression that I was free to use these and be able to monetise my videos so long as I paid the subscription each month.

I got hit with a copyright claim when I uploaded this video which doesn't necessarily effect the reach of the video, but it may affect my ability to monetise the video when I join the partner programme.

Can someone shed some light on this please?

I've checked out a few other support forums who have advised to dispute it, and I have, so I'm currently waiting for the outcome.

Is there anything else I should be aware of? How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Thanks!

@Tomoooo Search "Copyright" on this forum and you will find several threads on this YouTube problem.

@Tomoooo Hi, keep your videos Unlisted as YT recommends esp if they contain music, videos get the most views on YT in the first couple of days after upload so you don't want to miss the earnings of those views because adverts may not be added to videos with a copyright dispute on them,

Try this thread that has a solution from Gary reg copyright + HAAWK https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-content-gives-me-copyright-claim-on-youtube--132361/

It works. Unfortunately you have to use it every time you use that source. I was using a song as the intro music to a series of videos. After having to do this four times, I finally just swapped out the music for something I could use without needing to dispute it every time. If it's a one-off, it should be fine to do this.
