Yes. And removing and installing vegas again. Rebooting computer.
And a "funny" thing is, that when logging out (which also gives an error message), and closing and starting Vegas again, I sometimes get this screen showing old info. ("update 2")

' then I'm stuck on this screen with fidgeting dots and the message 'An unhandled error has occurred. Return to Home '. The Hub does still work on Vegas Pro 20. Ideas anyone?"
I was hoping for some suggestions that might fix the problem. I have no intention of re-installing the prgram or resetting any configurations because otherwise build 300 is working well. Best Vegas has ever been in fact.
@paul-marshall, the HUB is working here. No problems. I can access the assets without issue. I don't have any idea of what to suggest to you to fix your problem.
Clearly the hub works for the majority but at least I am not alone! I've also experimented with Firewall settings but it's not that.
I wondered if it was to do with my type of license. I'm on a Pro 21 Suite outright purchase from last August. To be honest I dont understand what the hub is for and how it relates to new features such as Text-to-speech unless I buy an upgrade.
When I bought my Vegas Pro 21 Suite last year I did not get:

Text to Speech, Speech to Text & Text-based editing*

...which previously needed a subscription. So I presume those features are only available to someone who buys a new or upgraded perpetual license now. I have AI Speech-to-text and text-to-speech menu items but they dont work. Unless of course it is because the hub is not working.... Confused - who knows?
OK, so based on janndk's success I have done the full default reset and it worked for me too. Having exported and re-imported my settings and keyboard short cuts I am not too far off now.
I can confirm that I do now have access to the newly included features so worth a bit of disruption to normality!

The following procedure works for me: Go to "C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS" Rename the folder "HubDB" to "HubDB.old". Start Vegas and the folder is recreated. Logging in to the hub should now work.
None of the suggestions above are helping. When I click on the vegas hub to login it opens another window but it is black and there is no way to log on
