Vegas install breaks SF5, SF5 install breaks Vegas...

After installing the latest Vegas update I noticed I was unable to save as an MP3 in SoundForge 5. I called Sony and they had me delete the install folders and the MP3 plugins folder. Then they had me reinstall SF5. I can save as MP3 again...but now I can't render MP3's in Vegas! I repeated the procedure above on Vegas. Vegas can render as MP3...but SF5 is broke again!

Is anyone here running the latest versions of Vegas and SoundForge 5 on their machine successfully with full MP3 capability?

I guess I must be the only one that's running Vegas 4 and SoundForge 5 together on one machine...

The only advice I can give is to make sure you have the most recent versions of each, and to re-load the Vegas MP3 codec if you have to.

Please contact Customer Support if you experience problems with MP3 not being available in Sound Forge 5 after installing the latest Vegas 4 update (same thing happens with the ACID 4 update). There is a fix available that they will provide you with.
