Well I assume its a pixel aspect ratio problem, trying to drive a clueless client over the phone is a PIA and I'm hoping someone here has a clue as to what's going wrong.
I've tried giving this client various file formats both 720p mp4 and 1080i m2t. Both open up in iMovie and Final Cut Express and look OK. The only issue is they endup with small (more than a few pixels) black borders. The client tells me the borders are not the same size horizontal and vertical. FCE correctly reports the format, frame rate and size. Client cannot find anyway to adjust PAR in his application(s), I'm not even 100% certain it is a PAR problem.
At the end of the day I could just print this to tape out of Vegas, that has to work. I'd just really like to nail this down before going down that path.
