Vegas memory usage test using Task Manager

Has anyone here started up Vegas Pro, opened their "task manager" and looked at the Vegas memory usage (in the Processes tab)?

A couple of things here:

1. Vegas idle (no files loaded) MEM usage
2. Vegas file loaded........playback or rendering MEM usage

I'm just curious on this, so it doesn't matter what type of file...etc I'm just trying to see what the "broad" range (if any) memory usage Vegas might have.

Also what OS you're running ?

Thanks

I did do a quick search, but most of the posts are irrelevant to my objective.........that being what the Vegas process was using for memory. That's exact data and doesn't have anything to do with percentage, machine robustness, hypothetical memory needs.......etc.

For me it's just a curious question (albeit somewhat boring).

Thanks for you reply.

I pretty much always have taskman running. For Vegas, I pay more attention to the size of the page file. If it's growing during a render then I know I'm in trouble.
