I'm not one to really comment about this, but I also wish it had those capabilities. I use sonar for midi, and I imagine Sony is going to keep that capability with whichever program does that (acid or sound forge, I'm not sure which). They have to keep the programs separate a little or they would just end up being a single program that does everything.
