Vegas Movie Studio 11.0 and Sound Forge 10.0

I am running an ASUS notebook with Windows 8.1, 64bit, 4G RAM, Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2815 @ 1.86GHz. I have Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 11.0 with updates.

I want to edit the audio track of a video. When I go to "tools," select "audio," then "open in audio editor," I get the following error message: "Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum: The specified audio editor can not be opened C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Sound Forge Audio Studio 10.0\audiostudio100.exe."

I have tried opening Sound Forge prior to opening Vegas Pro, and get the same error message. I've tried to copy the audio track and paste to Sound Forge, but that doesn't work either.

Does anybody have an idea how to edit the audio when using these programs?

You've got a very very low powered computer with minimal RAM, so it could be that you've run out of resources.

Have you set up the link to Sound Forge in Movie Studio's preferences?

Go to Options/Preferences and go to the Audio tab browse to Sound Forge 10 as your Preferred Audio Editor.
