I'm using Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum (purchased in Steam) on Windows 10 21H2. Sometimes I'm getting a strange crash when I click on items in the File Explorer, on Media Generator, Transitions or Video FX tabs:

Problem Description
   Application Name:    Movie Studio Platinum
Application Version: Version 17.0 (Build 223)

A bit later I discovered that the File Explorer is crashing:

I've tried repairing .Net Framework, reinstalling it along with the C++ redists, reinstalling Vegas and clearing the settings, but it still happens and it is a bit annoying. Is there any fix?

Lots of mouse error messages. Have you tried to plug your mouse in to another port?

@TreeTops Tried changing the mouse port, still crashes with the same error.

A quick google search of "Unmanaged Exception (0xe0434352)" led to

"In Vegas or Movie Studio, this error occurs when Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (3.5.1) is either turned off or not installed .."

@jetdv Tried with .NET 3.5 on and off, still crashes.
Though I wonder if it actually installs the SP1.
