Vegas Movie Studio Keeps Running out of Memory

Ok I am trying to save a 20 minute movie without any transitions or special effects. I ran EnditAll. My Computer is an Athlon 64 3200+ with 512meg Ram. I have 104 gig free on my hard-drive.

After about 1 hour or rendering a file in a standard NTSC DV template, it pops up and says that I have run out of memory and should close programs to free up space.

The files I am using are Windows Media files and I think that may be the problem. It seems to work ok if I use an AVI file. Is this just the demo or does the full version have problems with Windows Media files?

I am running the demo right now.

Any ideas?

I don't use them, but I'd be very surprised if the full version's any different. WMV is a lossy compression so you're never going to get good quality and I'm not too surprised that the system requirements are high.

It seems more like a bug to me, I mean even a 1 minute Windows Media File causes this problem. When I get home I am going to try a utility to convert it to AVI.

Unfortunately this is just a bunch of little clips I got off the internet that I want to put in part of a movie. I know the quality is going to suck - but do not have a choice.

Again not something I will be doing often:-)
