Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 keeps crashing.

As the subject says I have Sony Vegas Movie studio platinum 9.0 and everything is fine until I import media and bring it to the timeline. Once the media is on the timeline it says "Your program has stopped working, windows is searching for a solution" but a solution is never found.

I'm using windows 7

The video is captured on the Hauppauge HD PVR from my xbox 360 and the video I capture is in HD (duh) 1280 by 720 iirc.

So if I could get a hand that would be great since being able to edit video with a video editing program would be nice >.< Ty in advance.

If these files are MOV or MP4 h.264 or MPEG4-SP, what you're seeing is the known problem of vegas crashing when too many of these clips are in the timeline, or when the clip is too long. Create intermediate files instead. http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2009/07/22/exporting-to-an-intermediate-codec/

The HD PVR records in .M2TS

The videos are between 5-10min long but I'll try making them smaller.
