Vegas Movie Studio Platinum - RUNDLL error

I just installed this program, and I get an error when I start it. I tried uninstalling and 'cleaning' my registery. I also tried uninstalling DVD Architect and the ACID programs that came with it. When I start Vegas, I get the DLL error. I click "ok" and it seems to work, it is just very annoying. I also tried deleting the sony directories between reinstalls, trying to eliminate every trace of it so the reinstall would have a better chance. Ther error I get is:

RUNDLL
Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\Sony\Vegas
The specified module could not be found.

I downloaded the 6.02b updated files, and get the same error.

Any suggestions?

Kind of Windows problem - please try this:

Customer Service Answer ID 251

RUNDLL "Error Loading C:\PROGRA~1\Sonic The specified module could not be found" received on startup.

Question

When I start my program I receive a RunDLL error message showing: Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\Sonic or C:\PROGRA~1\Sony.

Answer

1) Go to Start-->Run and type REGEDIT, click OK
2) Browse to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem

3) Change the value of: NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 0
4) The problem will be corrected the next time you reinstall the program

That fixed it, thanks! I had run some Windows optimization software that had turned off 8.3 filename support.
