Hi all,
A few months back I was running Sony Vegas on Windows Vista and had the occasional failed render but generally the program worked well, and could handle complex projects like video collages of AVCHD, Mpeg AVI video clips, together with music and jpegs.
However I recently upgraded to Windows 7, with 4GB RAM, and I have had nothing but trouble since. I have a project around 10 minutes long, some AVCHD, some jpegs and some mpegs but when I try to render, the program crashes about 10% of the way in. I even started breaking the project up, and rendering 1-2 minutes at a time, but still the same problems.
Sometimes I get the message
'the instruction at xxxxxx referenced memory at xxxxxx. the memory could not be read'
I have no idea what this means. Sometimes I dont even get this message, it just crashes completely.
It is so frustrating when I've put time and effort into creating a great project for the software to let me down so consistently.
Has anyone any idea what is going on? Is there a serious issue with Windows 7. Any fixes?
Appreciate any advice.
