After a six-hour render of a 2 hour movie I worked on for 2 months, I got this error message: "An error occurred while rendering the media file XYZ.mpg. The reason for the error could not be determined." I found the video file, but it has no audio. Also, some parts are letterboxed, others not. It is 4:3, 720 x 480 from a DV tape capture in Vegas. Sound files were plain DV audio, narration, and .wav background music. I was rendering to DVD, and the DVD is supposed to go on sale in a few days - gasp.
I have no clue where to start with this problem, but I have to solve it asap. My PC is 6 years old, but has a 3gHz chip, 3GB ram, all work done on an external HD. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
