Vegas MS vs Screenblast MS

I currently have Screenblast MS. I've been pretty happy with it and it seems to work ok for what I want to do, mostly edit home movies. I was just wondering what the difference was between Vegas and Screenblast. They're both Sony products. Would it be worth it to upgrade to Vegas? Could I even do the upgrade vs having the buy the program since I'm not sure if Vegas is a higher version of Screenblast? Also what kind of DVD burning program comes with Vegas? I've always had problems with Sonic.

Thanks for the input.

The new Vegas MovieStudio 6 is worth the upgrade. Bet you won't regret doing the
upgrade. DVD ArchitectStudio 3.0 is the integrated DVD burning program.

Will an upgrade work though if I'm going from Screenblast to Vegas 6? Or will I need to buy the full program?

When you visit: http://www.sonymediasoftware.com and sign in you should see a list of the Sony Software products that you own. (If you didn't register the product do so.)

At the bottom of the list is a list of upgrades for those products that have an upgrade. It also tells you the price for the upgrade.

Yes, you install on the default folder and you get to run your screenblast and
vegas moviestudio 6. Upgrade costs less and comes without the graphic box.
Program Disk and manuals the same. Maybe no bonus softwares.
Check Sony website for contents detail.

I have Screenblast Movie Studio and Vegas Movie Studio 4 and don't see any difference. I bought the latter upgrade for the DVD ARCHITECT 2 DVD package and the SFX package that came with it. The upgrade only cost about $30 extra over the $100 I had originally spent on SSBMS.

Sonic My DVD software has had problems. Have you downloaded any updates? I bought the upgrade to 5.2 deluxe and it works pretty well 90% of the time. I bought Sonic 6 and it was a disaster. I called Sonic and they admitted there were bugs and could offer me SOME workarounds. I said no thanks and got my money back.

I still use SONIC 5.2 and find it any easier to use than Sony DVD Architect 2.
