Here is a test for you to try (to see if it is a bug).
I have a video, that is 1920 x 1040 (screen capture of 1920x1080 minus the task bar). When I bring this into a project that is 1920x1080 - I expect Vegas to letter box the video (20 pixels top and bottom).
But instead the image is resized to fit 1080 (and cropped). I have tried various format versions of the video (H.264 mov, Animation mov, Windows Media even a still PNG), all the same results.
Anybody care to try it? Simply do a screen grab of 1920x1020 and crop 40 pixels of the bottom, import it into a 1920x1080 Vegas project and see if it letterboxes or crop/resize?
Unless of course I changed a setting by accident along the way... it should letter box.
Cheers
