Vegas 8 Pro on Skulltrail, awesome.
That was just on the stock cooler, they had the CPUs running happily at 4.2GHz. with water cooling, elsewhere they've been pushed to 5.8GHz with LN2 cooling :)
Should mention Intel recommend a 1,200W power station.
There did not appear to be a substantial gain of 8 cores over 4 cores. Guess software still has a ways to go. I am looking forward to the 3.2 GHz quads though. I had a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4. Then moved to a 3.2 GHz Dual Core. Will probably upgrade after April and get a motherboard that supports 8GB of DDR3 RAM too. Using Photoshop, Bridge and After Effects on Vista 64 last night, I pushed 94% physical RAM usage out of 4GB! Not sure how people survive on 2GB nowadays.
