This usually indicates that the video codec that this camera uses is not installed on your system or not supported by Vegas. If the camera came with any software on CD I would install it. It probably contains the needed codec.

The "Insignia HD" camera I found on the internet uses H264 in an AVI wrapper.
So you would need to install the x264vfw codec on your machine.

Hi Ken

You probably need a codec or you need to convert the footage to something else. As far as I can see it is probably some kind of DivX / MP4 that Vegas cannot decode as default.
