Vegas Platinum Color Isolation

Hey all,

I have Vegas Platinum 8.0d, though I think I'm downloading the update to 9.0. I'm having trouble with color isolation. I've read an article here on this website for it using chroma keyer and color corrector (secondary). Well, I don't have color corrector secondary, so is there any way to isolate a color in an image with Platinum?

Yes there is, you must use Newblue Colorize FX in the video event. Hit '?' and follow the instructions. See the result here: http://vimeo.com/387995

Ah. THANK YOU! And that is so much easier than messing with Chroma Keyer.

Hi, I recently bought Platinum Pro 9, but cannot find this plug-in anywhere...can anyone help?
Thanks

It looks like the NewBlue Effects were included with VMS Platinum 8. With VMS Platinum 9, you get the NewBlue Transitions instead. If the effects were there in the packaged version 9, I couldn't find them either.

Tollkuhnator - thanks, and yes it seems a likely explanation. Pity, though, could have made good use of that!

Anyone any other suggestions?

Both the SCS Web site and the install disc itself are misleading in this regard as they both state "NewBlue Effects and Transitions" (plural) when, in addition to the transitions, there is just the single Cartoonr effect, and that with a pop-up promotion when you access it.

Newblue Cartoonr effect; btw, can be downloaded for free from their website.
