Vegas Plugin

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find a plugin that converts text in Vegas into particles (i.e. sand or dust)? Or a separate software package will work that I can import the file into Vegas?

As someone pointed out recently you can also do this in Vegas using a gradient to drive a displacement map.

Indeed. Take a look a the Energy FX | Transition 19 for a nice blowing sand effect.

Also Particle Illusion has "Area Emitters" which, if you use a PNG text file as the particle shape, can be manipulated so that the text can be smoke, fire or sand and dust.
