Vegas Post 2019 Image "No OpenCL Platforms found"

John-Foll wrote on 10/2/2021, 9:04 PM

When I run Vegas Post Image : I get the error: "No OpenCL Platorms found" then it exits.

I just bought and installed Vegas Post the other day.

Also when I look at the NewBlueFx Manager it is saying that VEGAS Stream is not activated. License Error: Invalid signature.

I think that I may have uninstalled Vegas Post the reinstalled it again. I can seem to run the VegasStream app, but don't know where I will run into problems with it.

On the latter issue, check the activated status in your NewBlue account. If deactivating there and reactivating it in the App Manager doesn't help, you most likely need to reach out to NewBlue support. They are very responsive and helpful, in my experience.

For OpenCL, bad NVIDIA driver? Try getting the latest one, 472.12 I believe. Go to Vegas Pro, help menu and then "driver update" to find it easily. The Studio version is preferable.

I had left a tech support message on NewBlueFX yesterday.

Okay, next try the same with updated Intel drivers if you have an iGPU.

The Intel Updates says that my Drivers area all up-to-date.

Is that your only GPU? You're stingy with info. OpenCL is related to graphics, so if it's not Intel and you don't have NVIDIA do you have an AMD card? If so, update the Radeon drivers, too.

I found that I needed to update my AMD Radeon Software. I hadn't done this in a while. In fact, I had forgotten I even was using the Radeon on my laptop. That helped me to be able to use the Vegas Image and IMerge Pro.

Glad that solution worked for you. Radeon graphics drivers have been the bane of many users here!
