Today Sony finally released an update for Vegas Pro 11 which I installed. For the past 6 months I have been having an issue with getting GPU acceleration to work using my NVIDIA GTX 680 along with all kinds of crashing and problems and was waiting for an update to add support for 600 series cards. I read through the release notes for this update and I don't see anything that states it has added support for 600 series NVIDIA graphics cards. From what I understand the issue lies is in the new Kepler architecture that the 600 series cards use. I literally ordered and received a GTX 580 2 days ago because of the lack of support I was getting for the GTX 680 and replaced it in my machine. It fixed all of the issues I was having, but it did set me back a couple hundred dollars for no reason and ultimately downgraded my computer and I now have a GTX 680 laying around doing absolutely nothing. If I were to put the 680 back into my computer with this new update will it work or will I be wasting my time? Has anyone tested editing, exporting, and GPU acceleration with a 600 series card using the new Build 700 or 701 update?
Thanks!
