Hi Todd,

Maybe it is not exact reply to your question, but I had a few similar problems with V13 after upgrading it from V12. I have reported these problems to Sony tech support. They suggested to uninstall Vegas pro completely, including registry cleaning. I did so, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem.

After 2 weeks of communication with Sony support, I have decided to reinstall Windows 7 from scratch. After reinstalling Win 7, Vegas pro 13 on my computer is a very stable software.
I think that some other software changed some libraries and it caused the problems and unstability.
I do not know exactly what caused the problem, but I think that trying to restore clean version of Windows is much faster than waiting for reply from Sony support.

Usually in creating system platform builds, I suggest creating an image of the base Windows installation with all video and audio driver support installed. Usually, because this forms the basic image of your Windows system.

NOW, I am recommending a different practice for NLE platform installs where the basic Windows clean image only has VGA video support thru the hardware. This way a reconstruction from the base image can be followed by unique and less problematic video card subsequent installs. Saves a lot of hair pulling in maintaining a working NLE system.

@Todd: Regarding your enhancement requests, all of those functions/effects that you mention are handled by compositor plugins such as Boris Red or HitFilm Ultimate, etc. Vegas is an editor and I rather doubt that those enhancements would (or even should) be considered.
