Vegas Pro 13 crashes during render

WestsideSteve wrote on 11/26/2016, 8:51 AM

Purchased the Vegas 14 upgrade but it's not here yet. I have a project I'm working on in 13.  Two cameras split over four tracks and one audio track.  Mixed down to multi-camera editing.

Tried 3 times so far each time the computer restarts. Somewhere between 1/3 and 50% of the way completed.

Main concept for DVD architect widescreen.

I read elsewhere a tip was to run as administrator.

I unplugged the modem and  will  try that next. Anyone have this problem and fixed it?

Thanks

Also does 14 address this issue? If it does I can finish the project once I get that installed and running. Thank you.

Need more detailed specification of your system.

Also, what Vegas build do you use?

And, what camera format do you working on ?

The same thing use to happen to myself in VP13, everytime I was rendering to MPEG2 for DVD.
Only this output format had a problem, all other formats rendered OK.
The solution that worked for me was to disable GPU Acceleration in the Preference settings.
Go to Options/Preferences/Video/GPU Acceleration = OFF

Also, to be safe, check for heat. Make sure your fans are working and dust is cleared from your computer.

It's rendering right now but afterwards I will check on the build. Both cameras are Sony digital Handycam. HDR XR 150 As soon as I get 14 I will install  it.

Running as administrator right now and it's rendering a lot more slowly than before. I wonder if that automatically disables the accelerator? I will check after this render either is successful or restarts. Haven't thought about Dust In The Box will have to check that too. Thank you gentlemen.

Well running as administrator with the modem unplugged didn't help. About 53% I get the blue screen that says your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart. I'm going to go to disable the GPU accelerator now and try again.

Disabling the accelerator looks like it did the trick.

Thanks
