Notice that I have Ran Both Versions Seperatly And only happens in Vegas.I have Sent a ticket on this well.

The Original Video Used is Over 1.5 gig . For me to sent to Magix I need to use program like fileflyer..

Vegas can read the file correctly if you create the project first in Premier Pro CC7 or earlyier and sane the project.Than Import the Project Into Vegas 14 or 15.

I tested your video here in Vegas 14 and the same problem occurs. Vegas can not recognize the video file. And also does not read the framerate properly. The mediainfo reports that the video framerate is 29,970i, but vegas recognizes as 23,976i. Vegas seems to be problematic with video files from GoPro cameras and the like.

I also tested it on Premiere Pro CC2017 and Premiere is able to open the video file correctly without any problem.

I am having the same issue using a Logitech C920 webcam with capture feature.. Frames are dropped and image is lost. The only way to restore the image is to unplug/re plug usb camera.

Confirmed, won't decode in Vegas 14 build 270. What is the camera?

While you wait for a fix, you may want to transcode, but GoPro studio does not open it either (it's m2ts rather than mp4) so need another solution.

I Think The File Was Produced by an Early Version Of Power Producer If I Open the File In Current Version The Software and Render it Vegas Can read it other wise not.

The footage came from a gopro camera. The m2ts file used from the footage and audio from go pro camera.Sony AVC seems to be the closed codec to match the jason0707.m2ts file.

3) Gopro files are mp4 not m2ts. You said m2ts was rendered from Cyberlink. Now you say it came from Vegas? Please clarify.

"gopro0707.mp4" is From Go Pro. M2TS Either From PowerDirector Or Vegas Pro (Sony AVC) Codec.

There is no way to Chop the File With out Altering it .

As for the Canera It Is From a Go Pro 2 or 3.

OK, as expected, the gopr0707.mp4 plays back fine in Vegas and renders normally too. No black.

Why the m2ts file from legacy cyberlink (or wherever) does not is a mystery, but in my opinion is not worth worrying about.
