Hello,
I have formatted my drive and reinstalled Windows 10, now want to install Vegas pro 14 again but was wondering do I need Quicktime installed or not? If so should I install Quicktime first or after Vegas?
I doubt if there is any pre-requisite or post-requisite relationship between Vegas Pro and Quicktime.
As a practical matter, I install Vegas and save the system image. I avoid loading Quicktime until I actually need it. Even though my camera records .MOV, Vegas decodes it without Quicktime.
i would leave it off, and use FFMPEG to covert/re-wrap any phone media to .mp4 or .MFX containers. You will be better off without the layer of QT getting in the way.
