Vegas Pro 14 HEVC ?????

Cornico wrote on 10/14/2016, 3:10 PM

Somebody has any idea why on my desktop (signature) I'm able to render with HEVC (all templates) and on my laptop (signature) nothing goes, even when the template is  the one that matches the projecttype and the source video?

With Vegas Pro 13 the laptop works better and faster than the desktop.

It could be a licensing issue. The first time I used ProRes in VP14 it "phoned home" for a license, and ProRes shares the same mxhevcplug.dll codec as HEVC. What happens if you drop a 422 ProRes file on the timeline? Samples here: http://www.cinemartin.com/cinec/samples/

That could be the reason.
The first thing I did was to drag all the potential files into the timeline to enable codecs as much as possible.

Maybe the test project is too small. Have you tried it with a larger project? For a single short event int he timeline it did not work for me too.

Uninstalling all the Sony Vegas and Vegas software (video & audio), all Microsoft Visual C++Redistibutables versions, all Intell software, and all plugins from my laptop, than rebooting and first installing Vegas Pro 14 brought also HEVC rendering back i.s.o an error. What exactly the reason was I'll never know.
