I bought Vegas Pro 14 from the recent Humble Bundle. I noticed that the license allows me to install the software on two computers, which is great. The first instalment done back in December worked like a charm and everything works (Win 7). But the second computer doesn't like it for some reason when I tried to install it today (also Win 7). The installer freezes after about 95% and I get a popup stating the the installer has stopped working. The details section of the popup gives me following info:

The installer freezes and gives this error report when the description above the green progress bar states the following:

When I click OK in the 'installer has stopped working' dialogue, the installer provides me with a message 'Vegas Pro 14.0 has been successfully installed' and closes. But when I try to run the program I'm greeted by error code -59. I've understood that missing files can cause this error code even though the following popup states that there is problem with the license (the installer hasn't asked me for the license yet).

I have tried
- uninstalling, restarting and installing again multiple times
- downloading the installer directly from Vegas Creatives Software site instead of the link provided in Humble Bundle
- RegEdit shenanigans described in the various Steam Community threads regarding error code -59
but they have all been unsuccessful. Could someone help me out, please?
