VEGAS Pro 14 keep crashing on startup / in project on a good computer

I've recently experienced alot of crashing / freezing with my VEGAS Pro 14 build 244.

As an AMV editor, my projects surely have alot of plugin effects but I never got these issues before.

Just a moment ago when I tried to finish a client work that he paid for, my vegas froze and made my .veg project file into something that I can't remember because I removed those files but it basically "deleted" my project file.

This is a really big problem for me. I can't finish any work that people paid for since my vegas keeps crashing.

 

Now some specs / vegas settings

Specs :

  • Intel i7 - 7700 @ 3.60GHz
  • 16GB RAM
  • GTX 1060 6GB
  • Windows 10 & 64-bit

VEGAS settings :

  • Dynamic RAM Preview max = 2500 (15319 Available)
  • Rendering threads = 16 (Max)
  • GPU acceleration = My GTX

 

As said earlier, I didn't get these problems before (1 year of use). I started getting these just few days ago.

I'll follow this post and answer every reply but right now it's thundering so I need to finish this fast ! !

Thanks for the quick reply !

Weather looks to be settled down so I can get into trying the link you gave me.

I'll just tell you that I've already tried quite alot of things from different articles but nothing really helped me.

Will get back to you after I've tried these !

Yes Kinvermark. I'm fully aware of it but build 244 was working well for me so I don't feel like updating since I heard about people getting problems after these updates.

I saw that I had a Windows update coming. I updated my Windows and now project files atleast open for me. I'll see how it handles my project files now after I've warmed my computer a bit !
