vegas pro 14 keeps freezing every 5 seconds(unusable)

I've had vegas pro 14 for around 2 years without no problems but yesterday I downloaded a plugin called universal and when I opened up my vegas, it kept freezing and was just impossible to use so I deleted the plugin and relaunched vegas. the same problem as it wasn't working so I uninstalled Vegas and reinstalled it and it was still not working. can anyone here help me as I use Vegas for work. Also another thing, I tried using vegas pro 13 that day as well and it had the same problem but I don't know how to fix it.

Was that plugin Red Giant Universe? Maybe some of it is left behind after you deleted it.

thanks the file was still in my ofx folder and when I removed it, Vegas started to work again. thanks, man.
