Vegas Pro 14 used to Edit Samsung Gear 360 videos

Hey everyone, Newbie to the forum but not to Vegas.

I have a new product question

Just purchased the Samsung Gear 360 camera.

I do not see any posts on using Vegas/Magix to edit the 360 video

Does anyone know if Vegas Pro 14 can be used to edit the Samsung 360 videos that are usually made for viewing with Samsung VR. Is there a special 360 edit format or do i have to purchase some kind of add-on, or maybe purchase some new module. Samsung tells me to download and install, Action-Director by Cyberlink. Is that the same type of app as Vegas Pro ?

I am heading out to Punta Cana to do some wedding videos on the beach using several GoPro cams, a drone cam and this new Samsung Gear 360.

I would love to read any feedback experience someone has or maybe some instructional video posts.

I use the Cyberlink program first, to assemble the 2 halves, then bring it into Vegas 14 to do whatever modifications i want. I use Vegas because I feel some of the plug-ins that I use in Vegas are better than those I have for Cyberlink. Then I add the metadata using the "injector" found here.https://github.com/google/spatial-media/releases/tag/v2.0

I also tried this one, which looks more convenient, but couldn't get it to work. Maybe you'll have better luck with it.

Vegas cannot stitch the raw Gear clips, you will need to use their tools to do that, or some other stitching program. Once the clips are stitched into an equirectangular projection you can edit them in Vegas. I have been doing this with Kodak SP360 videos for a while, now.

There are a lot of things you cannot do, though, such as exposure and color balancing the stitched images, adjusting/rotating the projection, proper titles, etc.

A couple of us have started threads requesting 360 VR enhancements to Vegas.
