It's probably not saving as VP14 but Windows still has the files associated with 14, so says they are 14 when actually they are 15.

any Vegas save as *.veg file. But if you save project from Vegas Pro 15, you can't open in the previous version (VP14, VP13). The file has a different flag saved, effectively blocking backward compatibility.

The only option is to use the program Movie Studio / Vegas Pro Version Faker (MSVPVF) to change the flag.

But, that version faker works not with files of Pro 15

I right click on veg pro 14(file type) and under properties, opens with , change to latest Vegas pro.

open your vegas pro 15 project u want to convert in vegas 14 project.

&

in another window open vegas 14 new project blank file..

now just click on anywhere on the timeline of vegas 15 opened project & select all (Ctrl+A)

then copy it (Ctrl+C)

now paste it in your vegas pro 14 new empty project file

& save it with a different name..

Thanks, this worked the other way around for me. All my VP14 files will not do Dynamic Ram Previews when opened in VP15. Just tried this and they work now!
