Vegas Pro 16 crashes on "render as"

My Vegas Pro 16 has begun crashing when I go to render anything. There is no error notice, it just closes down.

I am using Windows 10. I am using an HP laptop 15-bs1xx. Product number: 3PP41PA#ABG

I have uninstalled and re- installed Vegas pro 16 twice, but still crashes when I go to render.

It also crashes when I load some files from the camera into the timeline which has never been a problem before.

I have used Vegas Pro for many years and have never had a problem.

Please help, this driving me crazy!
