hitman47 wrote on 7/13/2024, 2:40 PM

Hallo,

after i have improved my editing skills, i wanted to improve an old project of mine with Vegas Pro 16. However i have a huge problem with a Media Fx and especially Video Stabilization. It doesnt saves the settings and specifically the zoom. Of course and i press save multiple times. After i close the software, all my setting are gone, the zoom is back to 0% and the black Borders appear. i have tried multiple times to save it or different sttings, but to no aveil.

Also i am using mpeg files, and my current version. Vegas PRO 21, cannot handle them withount some transformation to mp4 with shutter encoder (huge project i cannot convert all these files to be supported by 21).

Please help, does any one remember why is this hapenning?

@hitman47 Hi, try saving using the grey fx+, it'll open a window where Save As is an option, your preset will then get saved in Filter Packages & should retain the settings you applied.

If you want the Plugin Manager can be docked to the main UI so these Filter Packages can be dragged on to the event.

I repeat the problem its in VEGAS 16. Whatever i do there it doesnt save the zoom setting so the black borders appear, so the plugin is useless.

I followed all these steps, all kinds of saves. IT DOESN'T MAINTAIN THE ZOOM SEETING.After i reopen the my project, the zoom returns to 0%!

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the stabilisation problem in Vegas Pro 16. Using an MPEG video, I added VEGAS Video Stabilization as an Event FX, chose the User View as 'Professional', ran the analyser, unchecked Auto Zoom, increased Additional Zoom, saved the project, closed Vegas Pro and then re-opened it. All the stabliser settings were still in place including the zoom setting.

Which Vegas Pro 16 build are you using? It should be the last build - build 424.

The first Vegas Pro 16 Update (to build 261) had several stabiliser bug fixes including border issues. If for some reason you don't have Vegas Pro 16 build 424, go to your MAGIX My Account and under the My products listing for Vegas Pro 16, download and run installer so that you will get build 424.

You can open and re-edit the old VP16 project in VP21 and see if the Stabilization works there as expected.

You should be able to download the final build of 16 here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/

I downloaded the 484 bundle. Now much better. It saves the settings. However the total efficiency is not good. Vegas 21 Stabilization plugin is very much better.
