Vegas Pro 17- Not enough memory error message

I have been using Sony Vegas Pro 17 on the same pc for 2 years with no issues.

2 weeks ago the program stopped opening. An error message pops up that says not enough memory. Which I know is not an issue.

NOTE-Tech support here at Magix is non-existent as they have not replied to any messages in 2 weeks.

Can someone offer any assistance here?

Details of the types of footage you are using?

What you are doing when you get the error message?

JetDV I am not sure what you are saying concerning Vegas Pro 17 as that is the name of the software purchased.

Concerning the error message see attached image.

The program DOES NOT open, so there are no video files being used. When I do edit videos they are MP4's.

@Rod-Ferrier, get rid of the word "Sony". The last "Sony" version was version 13. VEGAS Pro 17 is a Magix product. Follow the link to see the explanation.

So you say that message pops up when you are first starting VEGAS? Does the splash screen appear? Does the line go all the way across? If not, what is the last thing you see?

Ok on the Sony part.

When opening the software the vegas splash screen starts but then the error message displays.

Software never opens. I have to click OK to close it.

Yes. Even Uninstalled and re-installed as well.

Try to remember what happened with or on your computer when you first saw that message.
The program might not be a problem because it worked at least 2 years.
So you might have done something with the settings of Vegas or there was a Windows Update, installing another program a.s.o.
Can your restore your PC to a situation before this happens?
How do you try to start the program?

Does it do this when trying to load any project? My guess is something in the project that it is trying to auto-load is overloading RAM... so maybe try double clicking on a different project file to boot VEGAS into that project?

@fr0sty it does it when trying to open previously rendered projects as well as the software by itself.

@Reyfox Vegas Pro 17 (2) is what is says when right-clicking on the program icon

@j-v there was a recent update. Not exactly sure when but within the last 2 weeks

Out of curiosity, have you downloaded the trial version of VP20 and see if the same thing is happening?

Also, others have posted about M$ updates, etc.

My latest version of Win10 Pro is Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2364)

While support might be slow, they do reply. But with all the holidays, support will basically be non-existent for a lot of companies. Also, they do have a chat hotline. Not sure what time on the world clock they are active, but I've reached them and have had live chat, and I am in Europe.
