If these 3rd party plugins is the only reason for upgrade, I would not do this if I were you.

The main reason: these plugins usually will work only in this version of VP. When you upgrade your VP to version 18, most probably plugins will not work any longer.

I agree. I never upgrade because of bungled-bundled software offers. I've been burned by this in the past with it not working with future upgrades. If there is a 3rd party plugin or software that you might need, ok, try it but buy it or you'll find that older projects will not work properly in later versions of Vegas. I only upgrade based on features IN Vegas. If a newer version of Vegas doesn't have features I need I don;t upgrade.

The Boris FX bundle sale is a great deal, you also get one year of upgrades. On the long run getting a basic Vegas (edit version) and a Boris and/or a newblueFX or prodad separate sale deal is cheaper and let you be independant of future Vegas versions, you are not locked to a particular Vegas version, or as a matter of fact to Vegas alone as NLE. You also have the benefit of using the independent OFX versions (for example Boris) in other NLE's.

One caveat though - the upgrade and support plan does not apply to BCC Units, only the full BCC package (i.e Boris Continuum Complete). See note 1 at the bottom of the following page:

@Dexcon indeed, good to know, I have the complete, as I had gone for the sale of the complete package in the past, I was not aware that buying individual bcc units was not subject of a years' upgrade.
