Vegas Pro 17 Video file type compatibility

Hi,

I just upgraded from version 16 to version 17. The first thing I noticed was that Vegas 17 would not recognize my Vegas 16 project files. Is this normal? I have never had any software (including various versions of Vegas) that would not recognize a project file from only one version away.

Additionally, Vegas 17 will not recognize half of the stock footage files that I have been using in Vegas 16. In particular, files with an mov extension will not work, but files with MOV do work. Again, is this normal? Does anyone know the difference between a file with capital letter extensions as opposed to small letters?

In the meantime I will continue to use version 16. Thanks.

That is not normal. Maybe you have to make in Vegas 17 the right settings that you could know by reading the changelog that came with this upgrade by selecting this?
