Vegas Pro 18 crashes importing media

Randy-Johnson wrote on 4/27/2021, 12:34 PM

I open a Project in Vegas Pro Version 18.0 (Build 482). I click File > Import Media. I select a media file. Vegas stops working and pops up an error box. I am using Windows 10 on an Intel Core i7-6700 processor. I have 64gb of ram. My sound card is RealTek High Definition Audio and my video is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960.

The latest Windows update disturbed opening of that kind of files in VPro 17,18 and VMS17.
The Vegas team is busy to make solutions with a new update for which we have to wait.
For the time being you can try to delete that Windows update

I removed the update dated April 16 and restarted my computer and now Vegas Pro 18 imports media
