Vegas Pro 18 Edit Installer never progresses.

I purchased Vegas Pro 18 Edit. I downloaded the "installer", and it seems to never be able to download the files. I just gets stuck when downloading; suddenly I notice the "Stop" button changed to "Continue", and it's still at 0% progress.. I've pressed Continue but the same thing happens; after a while it just stops trying and waits for my input to try again, like so: https://i.imgur.com/MJUyj6U.png

I even tried leaving it overnight and I woke up to a 0% progress and a Continue button.

The exact thing happens whether I try with the installer I downloaded from Humble Bundle (vegaspro18edit_windows.exe), but also with different installers I downloaded from https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/support/service-center/ by inputting my Serial number (vegaspro18suite_dlm_eij3hp.exe and vegaspro18edit_dlm_eij3hp.exe).

This happens whether my Windows Firewalls are on or off. I also checked my HOSTs file, there's nothing in there at all (except the # description).

I also tried downloading the full software from different "Direct Links" shown in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/ . I tried different builds and different mirrors of Vegas Pro 18 edit... they all either hang or eventually give me a 502 Bad Gateway error.

I remember years ago I had the same problem with Vegas Pro 15, but that time the Direct Links did work. I'm surprised I can't find this same issue posted by someone else... but I don't have any VPNs active nor anything weird so I don't think I'd be the only one affected.... (?)

Does anybody know of a valid link? Should I instead try sailing the rough seas, guilt-free since I have a valid, legally-purchased serial number?

What you got is a downloadmanager that you could download in person.
Starting that downloader is possible and you can choose some things and than that downloader is blocked by a Windows setting of your Windows account manager.
In that downloadmanager you have to give permission that also programs have the right to download things.
You have to be the adminestrator of your PC

Yes Windows has changed something. Checking with one of my existing Magix products for me the Magix DLM doesn't open automatically after downloading and when I go to my Downloads folder and try to run the Magix DLM I get a Windows notice that it's not approved by the MS store, or something to that effect. Past midnight so I'll investigate later but altering a Windows setting appears to get me past Microsoft being a PITA.

@Ceslic  ... have you tried downloading from https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/ as tried by the OP in the original post? Vegas Pro 18 can be found under point 7.

I've just downloaded Vegas Pro 18 using the installer from my MAGIX My Account (My Products) without a problem on to a computer that has never had Vegas Pro 18 installed on it before.

If the program won't install from either the installer or the direct link to Vegas Pro 18's .exe file (like the OP tried two weeks ago), there is almost certainly something on your computer blocking the download/install, particularly if an .exe file refuses to download/install.

Also, are you attempting to download/install via a VPN or are in a country that blocks certain aspects of the WWW internet (unfortunately a bit more common these days than it used to be)?

Yeah exactly as the OP I get a timeout error when trying to download directly, frankly I think Magix it´s a shady company I was watching the steam reviews for the same software and they blocked the argentinians because they made a mistake selling the software for cheap i think its the same case here, a money grab maybe Mexico servers are restricted to download the program
